Who we are
We help homeowners read subsidy, savings, and payback from their electricity bill before any installer visit. Independent advisory — not the government portal, not a DISCOM, and not a panel shop pretending to be MNRE.

Rooftop solar in India is sold, not advised. A homeowner searching for a price gets a lead form, a call within minutes, and a quote built around what the vendor stocks. The two questions that actually decide the outcome — is my bill big enough, and is my roof genuinely shade-free — are the two questions a sales process has the least incentive to answer honestly.
Sealix exists to answer those two first. We are paid nothing by the homeowner for that answer, and we would rather tell someone their ₹900 bill does not justify a plant than hand them to an installer who will sell one anyway.
The check is deliberately simple, because the inputs that matter are few:
What we cannot do from a bill is assess your roof. Shade, structure and access need a physical survey, which is why a positive check is a reason to get surveyed, not a reason to pay a deposit.
Subsidy figures follow the published PM Surya Ghar residential CFA structure, commonly up to ₹78,000 for eligible 3 kW and above. Price bands come from market quotes homeowners share with us and from prevailing per-watt ranges; they are indicative market ranges, never a quotation. Generation assumptions use the broad Indian average of roughly four to five units per kW per day, which varies by region, season, tilt and cleaning.
All of this changes. Scheme terms, state top-ups and DISCOM procedures are revised without much notice, so we treat pmsuryaghar.gov.in and your own DISCOM as the authority over anything we publish. Where a state "extra subsidy" is being advertised locally, we say verify it live rather than repeat it — see state top-ups.
| Party | Their role | Ours |
|---|---|---|
| National portal (MNRE) | Scheme owner, official applications, CFA disbursal | We explain it; we never file for you |
| DISCOM | Feasibility, net meter, commissioning | We tell you what to expect; we hold no authority |
| Installer / EPC | Sells, installs, warrants equipment | Sealix never installs; group company HK Energies does — see how Sealix works · installer vs advisory |
| Sealix | — | Independent read of your bill before any of the above |
The check asks for what is needed to do the maths — bill amount, area, contact — and no Aadhaar or bank details, because none of that belongs in an advisory step. If your numbers work and you want to proceed, a certified partner may contact you. If they do not work, you get told so. Details in our privacy policy.

Service: rooftop solar advisory for homes across India
Official subsidy portal (not us): pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Privacy: privacy policy.
Sealix is an independent rooftop solar advisory for Indian homes. We explain the PM Surya Ghar subsidy in plain English, run a free savings check from your monthly bill, publish city, state and intent guides so you can research without sales pressure, and connect you to certified partners only when the numbers make sense.
We do not claim subsidy in cash on our website, do not collect Aadhaar on this site since portal and installer KYC stays separate, do not promise free solar for every house, and do not replace DISCOM or national portal filings. Sealix itself never installs; our group company HK Energies Private Limited is a rooftop solar installer and may quote for homes that pass the check — how Sealix works.
Because rooftop solar in India is sold rather than advised. A homeowner searching for a price gets a lead form, a call within minutes, and a quote built around what the vendor stocks. From five inputs: your monthly bill and units, since solar offsets your most expensive slab units first and the bill size sets the ceiling on savings; your location and DISCOM, because irradiance, tariff structure and metering rules differ; indicative sizing based on what your consumption actually supports rather than the largest system that fits; the subsidy path and what it realistically leaves you to fund; and a payback range stated as a range, because component prices and tariffs move.
No. Shade, structure and access need a physical survey, which is why a positive bill check is a reason to get surveyed rather than a reason to pay a deposit. The bill tells us whether the economics can work; only a site visit tells you whether your particular roof can deliver them.

Only what is needed to do the arithmetic: bill amount, area and contact details. No Aadhaar and no bank details, because neither belongs in an advisory step. If your numbers work and you want to proceed, a certified partner may contact you. If they do not work, you get told so.
