DHBVN — Haryana discom, NCR geography

Most Gurugram metro domestic homes sit on DHBVN. Rooftop solar under PM Surya Ghar selects DHBVN on pmsuryaghar.gov.in, then follows Haryana feasibility, net-meter installation, and commissioning steps published on the DHBVN portal.

PM Surya Ghar CFA

Central residential CFA is commonly ₹30,000 / ₹60,000 / up to ₹78,000 for eligible 1–3 kW+ systems after commissioning. Haryana state top-ups, when announced, apply only to households meeting published eligibility at commissioning — do not assume a separate state cash amount unless an official notice matches your date. Winter haze and high-rise shade — plan honestly

November–January smog across the NCR belt reduces irradiance versus clear-sky models for weeks each year. Gurugram’s tower clusters cast afternoon shade on neighbouring terraces — site survey matters more here than in open Punjab farmland. Size from annual bill units, not a summer-only estimate.

Gurugram terrace realities

• DLF and Golf Course societies — RWA NOC on shared terraces is often the longest calendar item; start early
• Independent houses — Old Gurugram (Sector 4, 7, 14) may have clearer roof rights but face shade from newer towers
• Builder floors — common across Gurugram; confirm roof rights with the owner before feasibility
• Sohna and Manesar fringe — wider plots and independent houses; still DHBVN but different local office timelines

Who should still run bill maths

• Homes assuming Delhi’s zero-upfront scheme applies — it does not for DHBVN bills
• High-rise terraces with heavy afternoon shade from neighbouring towers

Net metering
