Independent advice for domestic connections in Noida, Greater Noida, and Noida Extension. You commute to Delhi NCR daily, but your electricity bill is Uttar Pradesh — PVVNL, not BSES or the Delhi Solar Portal. Your slab bill still decides payback after central CFA.
Noida feels like Delhi metro for offices, malls, and metro lines — yet rooftop solar here runs through PVVNL (Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam), a Uttar Pradesh distribution company. Delhi’s announced zero-upfront 3 kW scheme does not apply to Noida connections. A quote that treats Sector 62 like “Delhi free solar” is a red flag. Sealix advises; we are not PVVNL and not your installer. Start with the free home check.
Most Noida, Greater Noida, and Noida Extension domestic homes sit on PVVNL. Rooftop solar under PM Surya Ghar selects PVVNL on pmsuryaghar.gov.in, then follows UP feasibility, net-meter installation, and commissioning steps published on the PVVNL portal.
Border note: Some NCR fringe pockets near Ghaziabad may show DVVNL or PVVNL depending on sub-division — read your bill header, not your office address. For broader UP context: Uttar Pradesh state hub.
Central residential CFA is commonly ₹30,000 / ₹60,000 / up to ₹78,000 for eligible 1–3 kW+ systems after commissioning. UP does not add a separate Sealix subsidy beyond what official state notices publish at commissioning. Delhi’s state capital support for zero-upfront systems is a separate programme — it does not apply here. Full walkthrough: PM Surya Ghar guide.
November–January smog across the NCR belt reduces irradiance versus clear-sky models for weeks each year. Noida’s high-rise clusters in Sector 50, 76, and 137 add afternoon shade from towers. Size from annual bill units, not a summer-only estimate.
Grid-tied rooftop solar needs a bi-directional net meter from PVVNL. Settlement rules follow the UP tariff order in force at commissioning — confirm live wording before signing an installer quote. National explainer: net metering in India.
Many mid-to-high bill Noida homes land near 3 kW to capture the full central CFA ceiling. Going to 5 kW adds capacity with no extra central CFA — see 3 kW vs 5 kW and ₹3,000/month bill guide.
