High irradiance makes Jaipur one of India’s stronger rooftop climates. Central PM Surya Ghar CFA is nationwide; Rajasthan special free-unit / state-top-up packages have tight eligibility — do not assume every home gets “free 1.1 kW.”
Use the free home check to see whether your units justify net cost after CFA. Sealix is advisory only.
Central CFA commonly ₹30,000 / ₹60,000 / up to ₹78,000 for eligible residential sizes. Apply on pmsuryaghar.gov.in, select Rajasthan / JVVNL as on your bill, wait for feasibility, install with an empanelled vendor, then net meter and DBT. Guide: PM Surya Ghar.
Capacity is often constrained by sanctioned load under RERC net-metering rules — confirm live JVVNL / RERC wording before upsizing.
Rajasthan has publicised programmes that combine central support with a state amount for certain households already on free-unit schemes, sometimes framed as making a small (~1.1 kW) plant effectively free for eligible consumers shifting to ~150 solar-backed units. Those packages are not universal. If you are not on the stated free-power cohort, or your bill is far above that band, model standard PM Surya Ghar CFA + your actual consumption instead of a “free solar” pitch.
Excellent dry-season yield; dust soiling and extreme summer heat still need cleaning / derating honesty. Many mid-to-high bill Jaipur homes still size near 3 kW for CFA efficiency unless units clearly need more — see 3 kW vs 5 kW.
