PM Surya Ghar · Status
If you searched “PM Surya Ghar subsidy status” or “subsidy not received”, start here. Application status ≠ money status. Most missing-CFA cases are a missing upload, pending inspection, or bank validation — not a refusal. Timeline: how long subsidy takes.

Nobody outside that login can read your money status. Do not share OTPs. Stuck before commissioning? Fix that first.
Status sits inside the consumer login you created on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. If your file is stuck before commissioning (e.g. DISCOM inspection), see application status instead.

Fast triage if money is missing: (1) Confirm commissioning accepted on the portal — not just “installed”. (2) Confirm bank name/IFSC match the application. (3) Confirm the vendor uploaded the commissioning pack. (4) If DISCOM inspection is still pending, escalate that first — CFA cannot move without it. Full checklist below.
Fast triage: commissioned but no money? Check whether you submitted the redemption request in your own login. If you did and 30+ days have passed, send the complaint letter below.
This single confusion accounts for most of the anxiety we hear. Application status follows your file through registration, feasibility approval, installation, net meter and inspection. Subsidy status is the last step only: the central assistance being released to your bank account by direct benefit transfer once the plant is commissioned and that commissioning is accepted.
So it is entirely possible — and common — for your application to look finished while no money has moved, because the release depends on two things that live outside the application form: an accepted commissioning record, and bank details that pass validation. If you are chasing a payment, those are the two things to verify first, not the application page.
Knowing which stage you are actually parked at tells you who to call. Roughly in order:
If you cannot tell which of these you are in, that itself is the finding: ask your installer in writing which stage your file sits at and what document is outstanding.
The commonly stated commitment is around 30 days from an accepted commissioning report, credited directly to your bank account. The important word is accepted. The clock does not start when you paid the installer, and it does not start when you first applied — both of which are the dates homeowners usually count from, which is why the wait feels far longer than the published figure.
If commissioning was accepted more than a month ago and your bank details are validated, you have a legitimate case to escalate rather than a reason to keep waiting quietly. Confirm the current terms on the national portal, because scheme figures and timelines are updated from time to time.
The step people miss — the redemption request. In a Lok Sabha answer (data to 31 July 2026), MNRE said that when all credentials are entered correctly on the national portal, central assistance is released in about 15 days on average after the consumer submits the redemption request. That request — submitting your bank details and claiming the subsidy in your own portal login after commissioning — is yours to make, not the installer’s. If your status shows commissioned but you never submitted it, that is the delay.
Use this once commissioning is accepted, your redemption request is submitted, and more than 30 days have passed. Send it to your DISCOM’s rooftop solar / nodal office (email or in person, keep the acknowledgement), and raise the same text through the grievance option on pmsuryaghar.gov.in.

If there is no response in about 10 working days, escalate with the same letter to the DISCOM’s superintending engineer and the state nodal agency, and use the national helpline listed on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Name mismatch between bill, Aadhaar and bank is a common hidden cause — in Telangana, TGSPDCL now lets you correct minor name differences online.
In rough order of how often we see them:
Escalation works when it goes to whoever actually holds your file. Start with your installer and ask for the commissioning report plus evidence it was submitted — a file that was never uploaded will never move, and no other call fixes that. Next, take it to your DISCOM's rooftop solar or nodal office, because feasibility, net metering and inspection all sit with them, not with the central scheme. For portal faults and payment problems after commissioning, use the helpline and grievance route published on the national portal.
Have your application number, consumer number, sanctioned capacity and commissioning date ready every time. The single most useful sentence you can say is which stage the portal shows and what date it changed.
Because this stage involves money and confusion, it attracts opportunists. Nobody can expedite a central subsidy release for a fee. Treat as a red flag any request for your portal credentials, any vendor asking that the transfer land in their account, and any quotation priced net of a subsidy the vendor intends to collect on your behalf without a written agreement covering what happens if the released amount differs. The assistance under the residential scheme is designed to reach the consumer's own account.
We are an independent advisory. We are not the government, not your DISCOM and not your installer, so we cannot see your portal account or push a payment through. What we can do is read your bill with you, tell you whether a quoted size and price are sensible before you commit, and help you work out which of the stalls above your case resembles. If you have not yet installed, the cheapest problem to fix is the one you avoid: see how to apply and how the money is actually built up in solar subsidy explained.
If you are stuck earlier than this — unable to register, log in, or find your consumer number — that is a different set of causes, covered in portal login and registration problems.

Log in to the consumer account you created on pmsuryaghar.gov.in using the registered mobile number and your electricity consumer number, and open your application. The portal shows the stage your file has reached. Status is only visible inside your own login, so an installer or advisor cannot look it up for you without your credentials, and you should not share them. If you have lost access, recover it using the registered mobile number rather than creating a second application, since duplicate applications for one connection cause their own delays.
No, and confusing the two causes most of the panic. Application status tracks your file through feasibility, installation, net meter and inspection. Subsidy status is the final money step, where the central assistance is released to your bank account by direct benefit transfer after the plant is commissioned and the commissioning report is accepted. An application can look complete while the transfer has not been triggered, because the release depends on the commissioning record and your validated bank details.
The commonly stated commitment is around 30 days from a successfully accepted commissioning report and net meter installation, credited directly to your bank account. In practice the clock that matters starts at commissioning acceptance, not at the date you paid your installer or the date you first applied. If it has been well past a month since commissioning was accepted and your bank details are validated, that is a legitimate escalation rather than something to keep waiting on.
The usual causes, in rough order of frequency, are that the vendor has not uploaded the commissioning documents, the distribution company inspection or net meter installation is still pending, or the bank details on the application fail validation. Name mismatches between the bank account and the application, closed or dormant accounts, and incorrect IFSC codes are common. Less often, the plant capacity or equipment recorded does not match what was sanctioned, which holds the file for correction.
Under the residential scheme the central assistance is designed to reach the consumer's own bank account by direct benefit transfer. Be cautious with any arrangement where a vendor asks you to sign the subsidy over, quotes you a price net of a subsidy they will collect, or asks for the account it lands in to be theirs. If a vendor has discounted the price on the assumption they receive the transfer, get the arrangement in writing and understand what happens if the amount released differs from what they assumed.
Work in order. First ask your installer for the commissioning report and proof it was uploaded, since a file that was never submitted will never move. Then raise it with your distribution company's rooftop solar or nodal office, because inspection and net metering sit with them. The national scheme also publishes a helpline and grievance route on pmsuryaghar.gov.in for portal and payment issues. Keep your application number, consumer number and commissioning date to hand for every conversation.
No. Sealix is an independent advisory, not a government body, not your distribution company and not your installer, so we have no access to your portal account or to the payment system. What we can do is help you read your bill, judge whether a quote and system size make sense before you commit, and tell you which of the stalls above your situation looks like. Anyone claiming they can expedite a central subsidy release for a fee should be treated with suspicion.
Address it to your DISCOM's rooftop solar or operation engineer and quote your consumer number, national portal application number, vendor name, net meter date, commissioning acceptance date, redemption request date and the exact status the portal shows. Ask them to confirm whether inspection and the commissioning report are approved, whether any bank-validation issue is pending, and the expected release date. Attach the bill, commissioning report, net meter proof, a portal screenshot and a cancelled cheque. Raise the same text through the grievance option on pmsuryaghar.gov.in and keep the acknowledgement. A copy-ready letter is above.
