Madhya Pradesh

Rooftop solar for Madhya Pradesh homes — three DISCOMs, Malwa sun belt

Independent advice for domestic connections across MP’s West, Central, and East distribution zones. Strong irradiance on the Malwa plateau helps yield; your slab bill still decides whether 2–3 kW pays back after central CFA.

Madhya Pradesh spans the Malwa plateau, Narmada valley, and Bundelkhand — sun conditions vary, but Indore, Bhopal, and Gwalior belts often beat coastal metros on annual kWh per kW installed. That helps payback, but it does not override a low domestic bill or a shaded terrace. Sealix advises; we are not your MP DISCOM and not your installer. Start with the free home check.

Which DISCOM is on your bill?

Portal names and abbreviations differ slightly from bill headers — match the company name on your bill, not just the city pin.

PM Surya Ghar CFA

Central residential CFA is commonly ₹30,000 / ₹60,000 / up to ₹78,000 for eligible 1–3 kW+ systems after commissioning. MP state top-ups, when announced, apply only to households meeting published eligibility at commissioning — do not assume a separate state cash amount unless an official MP energy department notice matches your date. High sun — honest caveats

Dust on panels, summer heat derating on inverters, and west-facing terraces in dense Indore or Bhopal layouts still cut real yield versus a perfect south-facing lab test. Monsoon months (July–September) trim annual totals versus dry-season peaks. Size from annual bill units.

Net metering

Grid-tied rooftop solar needs a bi-directional net meter from your MP DISCOM. Settlement rules follow the MPERC tariff order in force at commissioning. National explainer: net metering in India.

Sizing honesty

Many mid-to-high bill MP homes land near 3 kW to capture the full central CFA ceiling. Going to 5 kW adds capacity with no extra central CFA — see 3 kW vs 5 kW.
