Typical ekiran sequence after you pick a vendor

  1. Confirm domestic connection and roof rights (society NOC if shared terrace) — society NOC
  2. Register on the national portal with Kerala + KSEB and the exact consumer number from the bill
  3. Open / continue the interconnection file on ekiran; wait for technical feasibility
  4. Install only after approvals; upload Project Completion Report (PCR) with documents (Inspectorate energisation where required)
  5. KSEB testing → test certificate → net-metering agreement
  6. Install both the bi-directional net meter and the renewable energy (generation) meter — your old meter alone is not enough
  7. KSEB feeds PCR to the MNRE path; track CFA on the national portal

KSEB consumer material often cites roughly 15-day windows for feasibility response and meter work after a complete file. If you sit far beyond that with a complete upload, escalate with the application number — see application status.

ekiran is the common name for KSEB’s Solar Rooftop Portal used for interconnection, technical feasibility, project completion, testing and net-metering paperwork for grid-interactive rooftop solar in Kerala. It is not the national PM Surya Ghar subsidy portal.

Do I need both ekiran and pmsuryaghar.gov.in?

Yes for a typical subsidised home plant. Register and track central CFA on pmsuryaghar.gov.in with KSEB selected as DISCOM. Clear interconnection and net metering on ekiran. Completing only one side leaves the other stuck.

Why does ekiran login fail with my consumer number?

Usually a digit mismatch with the KSEB bill header — truncated numbers, missing circle prefix, or an old migrated account. Photograph the bill and enter character-for-character on both the national portal and ekiran.

Can Sealix log into ekiran for me?
